VANDALS wreaked a large amount of damage at Basildon rail station overnight, causing significant problems for commuters this morning (Tuesday, 28 March).

The damage included broken windows, smashed ticket machines and posterboards that were ripped down.

British Transport Police have been investigating the damage and identified one suspect on CCTV who has been arrested.
