A BASILDON mum and her friends have completed their challenge and smashed a fundraising target in support of Basildon Hospital's neo-natal unit.

Basildon Nub News reported last week on the planned Three Peaks Challenge to be undertaken by Lauren Hatful as a way of saying thank-you to the unit.

At the weekend Lauren completed the task of climbing the three peaks in Yorkshire with friends and family members - and they have raised £5,560, beating their target of £5,250.

Lauren, Ellis, Beaux, Kerri, Lisa, Hannah, and Sophia. (Poppy's People) who completed the walk said: "We are so overwhelmed with all of your kind donations! Thank you so much!"
