Police seek man after serious assault on woman in supermarket car park

POLICE have issued an appeal and want to hear from anyone who recognises a man they want to speak to in connection with an assault that left a pregnant woman with serious injuries in Basildon.
It was reported an altercation took place in the car park of the Asda supermarket in Southernhay at about 7.45pm on Saturday, 19 April.
It is believed a man has assaulted the victim, leaving her with serious injuries to her face before leaving the scene.
Officers continue to pursue several lines of enquiry and are now asking for the public's support to identify a man seen in the area of the incident that evening.
He is believed to be about 5ft 10in tall, of slim build, with dark brown hair.
