72-year-old man due in court over sex assault allegation on bus

A man has been charged in connection with an investigation into a report a girl was sexually assaulted on a bus in Basildon.
It was reported a man approached the girl and kissed her on the cheek on a bus in Uppermayne on 18 November last year.
A 72 year-old man was arrested on Saturday.
Kaushik Patel, of Rantree Fold, Basildon, has now been charged with assault by touching.
He's due to appear at Southend Magistrates' Court today (Monday, 6 March).
