THREE people have been charged in connection with two break-ins in the early hours of yesterday morning, including the Co-op in Wickford.

Police were called to a break-in at McColl's newsagents in High St, Ingatestone, at around 2.30am on Saturday, 27 February. Upon further investigation, it was found that nothing had been taken.

They were then called to a second incident at the Co-Op in Wickford High Street around 3.40am, where a significant amount of e-cigarette cartridges and alcohol were taken from the premises.

Officers carried out a search of the area and stopped a car on the A12 around 30 minutes later. Three people were arrested.

Danny Brandon, 40, and Paul Robinson, 48, both of no fixed address, have been charged with burglary. Nicola Andrews, 54, of Nightingale Crescent, Harold Wood, has been charged with burglary and possession of an offensive weapon.

They are due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Monday, 1 March).
