Road closed after serious crash

POLICE have closed a Basildon road as they investigate a serious collision that happened in the early hours of this morning.
A statement from the force says: "We were called to Pound Lane shortly after 2.30am today, Saturday, 13 November.
"The road remains closed and we anticipate it will remain shut into the morning.
"If you witnessed the collision, have dash cam footage or have any information that may help our investigation, please call 101 and quote incident 144 of 13 November."
