A CANNABIS farm was discovered by police officers who executed three warrants yesterday (Friday, 3 September).

A number of officers, some with dogs, halted a cannabis cultivation in Russel Gardens, Wickford, and seized suspected class A and B drugs in Rochester Way, Basildon.

In total, the seized drugs have an estimated value of £130,000.

A 37-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with the production of cannabis.

A 34-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of cannabis production, the possession of class A and B drugs and abstracting electricity. He has been released under investigation.

Following the two warrants, a third man, 37, was arrested on suspicion of the production of a controlled drug and theft of a motor vehicle. He has since been released under investigation.

A statement from Essex Police says: "We couldn't do these warrants without your help - if you believe someone is involved in the production or supply of drugs in your area, please report it to us.
