Police appeal as they probe incident in which horse and rider were injured

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a collision involving a blue Ford Focus and a horse in Vange.

It happened in Vange Hill Drive, close to the junction with Dewsgreen, at around 2.20pm on Saturday, 15 January.

The rider of the horse attended hospital for treatment and the horse was also injured.

A police statement says: "We are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision, or the immediate aftermath of it. If you saw anything, have any CCTV, dash cam or doorbell footage please contact us.

"If you have any information you can submit a report online via this link where you can use the 'Live Chat' button to speak to an online operator between 7am and 11pm. Please quote incident 630 of 15 January.
