It's time to nominate your volunteer hero

NOMINATIONS for the 2023 Basildon Borough Volunteer Awards are now being accepted.

The awards recognise the achievements and contributions that volunteers have given across the borough.

There are eight different categories that individuals can be nominated for, including Community Star, Inspirational Role Model, and Young Volunteer of the Year.

Basildon Council Cabinet Member for Communities, Cllr Terri Sargent, said: "It's so important our borough's volunteers get recognition for the valuable support they provide to the community. This is our opportunity to nominate those hard-working individuals.

 "I'm looking forward to meeting all of our special nominees at the awards ceremony in February."

 Applications must be received by Friday 23 December 2022.

The Young Volunteer of the Year Award (11-21yrs or up to 25 years if additional needs)

Long Service Award

Voluntary Group/Project of the Year

Lifetime Achievement Award
