Horses rescued after accident

FIREFIGHTERS rescued two horses from a horse box following a road traffic collision on the A130.
The incident unfolded close to at Sadlers Farm just after 2pm on Saturday (29 October) when an alarm was raised.
On arrival, crews reported that two vehicles had collided leaving two horses trapped in a horse box. Firefighters worked alongside a vet to calm the horses while cutting away at the horse box to free them.
The horses were safely rescued by 3:42pm and left in the care of a vet and their owners.
