A new venue opens up at town centre development

A NEWS dessert outlet has opened its doors as part of the new East Square cinema development in Basildon.

Kaspa's dessert house is the latest in a chain of more than 100 restaurants around the world providing a huge range of hot and cold desserts including ice creams, gelatos, waffles, crepes, milkshakes, sundaes, smoothies and more.

The new restaurant is located as part of the new East Square development led by Basildon Council. Right in the heart of Basildon's town centre, the development will include six new dining experiences, including Orleto Lounge which opened in February 2022, as well as the upcoming Nando's and Empire Cinema, boasting the largest screen outside of London anywhere in the UK.

A spokesperson from Kaspa's said: "We are really excited about opening our latest Kaspa's store in Basildon! At Kaspas Desserts, our mission is to create an environment where enjoying authentic desserts with family and friends is an unforgettable experience - we can't wait for you to come and enjoy our mouth-watering selection of artisan gelatos, waffles, crepes, milkshakes, smoothies and sundaes! Cllr Craig Rimmer, cabinet member for regeneration said "It was absolutely fantastic to welcome the new Kaspa's to Basildon Town Centre, bringing a delicious dessert house for all to enjoy.

"It is great to see the East Square development come to life. I am truly excited to see what's to come for Basildon and what it has to offer for our residents as we see new opportunity and a much-needed boost to the town centre."
