BUSINESSES in Basildon are being invited to take part in a Low carbon funding and energy-saving clinic next month.

It will take place on Tuesday, 12 July  at Wat Tyler Country Park.

This event is ideal for any business owner who wants to find out how to cut costs on their energy bills, while helping their business to grow greener!

Organised by Basildon Council and the LoCASE (Low Carbon Across the South and East) team, you will get the chance to meet the people behind LoCASE along with other organisations who can offer support for your business. There will be an opportunity for open networking, and the chance to hear from local businesses who have previously benefitted from LoCASE funding.

The event is free to attend, no registration is needed, just pop along between 9am and 1pm to the Cordite Room, Wat Tyler Centre, Basildon and if you are not able to make it from the start to hear the presentations, you will still be able to drop in any time until 1pm to network and hear from the experts on how your SME business can save money and grow greener! Refreshments will be provided. You will also be able to book via Eventbrite once the page is live. If you are interested in finding out more, email the Economic Development team at Basildon Council, [email protected]

This is the final round of funding for the project, so businesses are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to avoid missing out. By attending visitors can find out if LoCase can help your business to not only grow, but grow greener!

The Low Carbon Across the South and East Programme is an ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) and UK Gov funded programme supporting SME businesses to become more competitive and profitable while protecting the environment and encouraging low carbon solutions. To do this, LoCASE provides grants of up to £10,000 (including up to £5,000 towards used/second hand ULEV's), as well as free training workshops...and the great news is, once the money is awarded, there's no payback and no strings attached!
