Garden fire spread across four homes

FIREFIGHTERS extinguished a shed fire that had spread to four gardens and the rear of a house in Pitsea.
The incident happened on Sunday afternoon (19 February) when crews were called to a shed fire in Bradbourne Way at 12.38pm.
On arrival, crews reported that a shed fire had spread along the fence line of four gardens and was beginning to affect the windows and facias of a house.
Crews worked quickly to prevent the fire spreading into the house and further gardens and they had put out the flames by 1.04pm.
The cause of the fire was accidental due to an electrical fault.
The rear of the house suffered a cracked window and doors as well as damage to the fascias and external cladding. Several fence panels and a garden were destroyed in the blaze.
