RESIDENTS in Laindon took part yesterday (Thursday, 12 August) in the first of six 'Meet the Leader' events which have been scheduled by Basildon Council.

The sessions with Cllr Andrew Baggott are described as an opportunity for residents to ask any questions they have, and to hear about what's currently going on at the council, as well as plans for the future.

The rest will be taking place over the next few months, and the dates and times are as follows:

Pitsea residents - Tuesday 24 August - 11.30am - 1pm - Wat Tyler Centre

Basildon residents - Wednesday 8 September - 6.30pm - 8pm - Basildon Library

Billericay residents - Thursday 23 September - 6.30pm - 8pm - Chantry Centre

There are also events planned in Wickford and Vange in October
