BASILDON Council in collaboration with Essex Chambers of Commerce hosted this year's Basildon Business Expo to provide local businesses with a platform to grow.

The Basildon Business Expo is a powerful networking event that brings like-minded businesses together to share in their success and gain valuable tips and advice.

The event returned larger than ever after a 2 year break and saw over 70 stalls at the Basildon Sporting Village from a range of local businesses, including government bodies, funding providers, private sector firms and providers of education, training and employment support.

The day started with a Business Breakfast where attendees heard from Chief Executive of Essex Chambers of Commerce, Denise Rossiter, Leader of Basildon Council, Councillor Andrew Baggot and Chief Executive of Basildon Council, Scott Logan. This was followed by the exhibition where over 300 attendees had the opportunity network with local businesses and make new connections.

Councillor Anthony Hedley, Cabinet Member for Economic Growth and Business Engagement said "It was fantastic to support Essex Chambers of Commerce with another Basildon Business Expo event this year. The event saw borough businesses unite to share best practices and success stories, as well as meet prospective new clients to help them develop further.

"We are committed to supporting our local entrepreneurs and global brands to take their next steps and grow responsibly right here in Basildon."
