A PUBLIC local inquiry about the compulsory purchase of land on the Craylands Estate is set to be held on Tuesday, 29 June.

Basildon Council has submitted to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government for confirmation of an Order made by the authority under 226(1)(a) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The Order would authorise Basildon Council to purchase compulsorily the land at Craylands for development and improvement.

The inquiry will be held at 10am in the Council Chamber of the Basildon Centre in St Martin's Square, Basildon. It will also be available online at https://www.basildon.gov.uk/cpofryernscraylands
