BASILDON Council has secured a court injunction against a 35-year-old Fryerns resident after a prolonged pattern of threatening and disruptive behaviour.

On Thursday, 3 July, Basildon County Court approved a without-notice exclusion order, preventing the individual from entering the Basildon Centre and Towngate Theatre.

This follows multiple incidents including verbal abuse, property damage, public intoxication, and significant disturbances.

Cllr Kerry Smith, cabinet member for Law, Order & Enforcement, said: "We are dedicated to restoring pride in Basildon and ensuring our communities remain safe.

"Visitors to our town centre should feel safe and comfortable whether shopping, attending the theatre, or simply spending time out.

"This injunction demonstrates our commitment to upholding these standards. Congratulations to the officers involved for their swift action."
