A COACH driver escaped with minor injuries after his vehicle overturned.

No passengers were on board.

A statement from Essex Police says: "We were called to reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a coach at about 6pm on Monday, 27 May.

"At the scene we found the coach blocking part of the roundabout for the A130 and A1245.

"The driver sustained minor injuries and left in the care of the ambulance service.

"There were no passengers in the vehicle at the time.

"We left the scene while National Highways continued to make the road safe at about 1.15am this morning, Tuesday, 28 May.

"We expect parts of the roundabout to remain closed for several hours while they continue to make the road safe due to reports of fuel on the road surface."
