Basildon man pays penalty for drink driving as police back up campaign with action
A BASILDON man has been disqualified from driving for four years after he admitted failing to provide a breath test.
David Brown, 33, of Windsor Road, appeared at Southend Magistrates' Court on Monday, 2 December where he pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for police on Friday, 1 November.
He had been arrested after he was suspected of drink driving following a collision in Eastwood Road where he was driving a Ford Ranger.
Brown was sentenced to eight weeks of imprisonment, suspended for 12 months and disqualified from driving for four years and ordered to pay costs.
