POLICE are appealing for any witnesses, doorbell or dashcam footage after a man was assaulted in Basildon.

It was reported the victim, a man in his 30s, was assaulted by two suspects close to Ashlyn's Roundabout and Northlands Park at about 12.20pm on Saturday, 29 August.

The victim sustained injuries to his neck and was treated by paramedics.

The suspects were last seen leaving Northlands Park, heading towards Parkside.

A police statement says: "Our investigation is already underway and we are pursuing several lines of enquiry. Anyone with information or footage from the Lincoln Road area around this time should contact us quoting incident 620 of Saturday 29 August.
