DUE to overnight snow Basildon Council has announced all refuse and recycling collections have been suspended because of the unsafe conditions.

This means that collections outstanding from Monday and collections today (Tuesday, 9 February) will not take place.

In areas where collections have been suspended the council is asking residents to take their waste and recycling in from the kerbside until a revised collection day is announced.

Barleylands Recycling Centre is also closed today.
