A THURROCK businessman is pioneering a 'group-buying' scheme to make solar power more accessible and cheaper for borough residents.

Harry Pollington is the CEO of Solar Power UK which has launched a project in the area to enable local people to get together to install solar power and storage systems at lower price.

Mr Pollington, fellow director Caleb Maloney and their company bring together potential buyers and not only manage the financial arrangements, bring buyers together to get bigger discounts, but then oversee and install the equipment.

Installation could bring reductions in household energy bills of up to 80 per cent.

Mr Pollington, who has recently launched the 'Thurrock Project' says: "We're passionate about challenging old attitudes to energy and empower all our customers to live sustainably.

"We are constantly exploring the very latest technologies that will help our customers generate clean energy, reduce their bills and their environmental impact.

"Our approach sets us apart — there's simply no one else doing it quite like we do.

"By harnessing the collective strength of group-buying, we guarantee competitive pricing, top-notch products and installations, and a seamless process from start to finish."
