Wickford man, 18 in court charged with crack cocaine and heroin supply and possession of a knife in a public place

AN 18-tear-old man from Wickford is one of three people have been charged after drugs with a street value of £4,000 were seized.

Police officers stopped a car in Eastwood Road North, Leigh-on-Sea, and carried out a search at around 10pm on Saturday, 8 May.

Harley Hamilton, 18, of Johnson Close, Wickford, has been charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin and possession of a knife in a public place.

A 17-year-old boy from Leigh-on-Sea has been charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin and possession of cocaine. He cannot be named for legal reasons.

Both appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court today (Monday, 10 May).

Vitalijs Saveljevs, 38, of West Road, Westcliff, was charged with being concerned in supplying class A drugs.

He is due to appear at Southend Magistrates' Court on 28 June.

A 28-year-old man from Southend was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in supplying a controlled drug, possession of an offensive weapon, and possession of drugs. He has been released under investigation.
