Buses have been diverts on Wickford High Street

THE High Street in Wickford has been closed while emergency services deal with an incident, believed to be a collision.

As a result of the closure local bus services are being diverted.

An air ambulance has landed nearby while police and ambulance services officers are attending the reported collision.

First Essex bus services 25,10,16, 94/A are currently diverting via Golden Jubilee Way and Halls Corner.

Essex Council's travel news says: "Wickford – High Street closed in both directions due to an accident involving one vehicle near to the Railway Bridge".

Essex Police and the East of England Ambulance Service have been contacted for further information.
