The force was with community group on a special day

PCSOs Nice and PCSO Brady from Laindon & Basildon Community Policing Team were invited to the Katina Celebration yesterday (Sunday, 16 October) at the Mahamevnawa International Meditation Centre UK in Billericay.

The Katina Cheevara Puja or offering of new robes to Buddhist priests is a longstanding religious custom prevailing in all the countries where Theravada Buddhism prevails and celebrates once a year during the month of October.

A statement from Essex Police explaining the officers' presence said the foce is dedicated to community policing and values all cultures in our communities.
