AFTER a two-year break managers at Festival Leisure Park in Basildon have announced that the hugely popular Superheroes and Villains event will return to the park this Easter Sunday.

The family fun day is a favourite on the calendar for Festival customers and is set to spring back into life with Batman and plenty of other favourite characters on Sunday, 17 April.

Visitors can expect to meet a host of heroes from movies such as Captain America, Iron Man and Star Wars, Spiderman and Ghostbusters and marvel at supercars including Knightrider, the Batmobile, Lightning McQueen and the Flintstones truck.

 Children can also take part in the Easter Trail around the park to win some tasty Easter treats and the Easter Bunny will of course be making an appearance throughout the day. 

Matthew Chambers, Centre Manager at Festival Leisure Park said: "We are so excited to bring back our Superheroes and Villians event, we know this is so popular with local families and a real Easter treat. We love seeing the children dressed up in their favourite characters and the joy on their faces of meeting their heroes! With such a great choice of leisure activities and plenty of restaurants to dine at, we look forward to seeing lots of familiar faces at the park over the Easter weekend."

The event runs from 11am to 4pm and characters will be available at intervals throughout the day.
