SOUTH-Essex business Lemon Fresh, which operates shops in Corringham and Chadwell St Mary as well as a thriving online retail outlet, is supporting a fundraising football event this weekend in aid of the Dottie's Journey charity.

The 'LemonfreshUK Champions Cup will be played at Billericay Town's ground on Sunday, kicking off at 4pm.

The charity offers support to Dottie, a young girl who is battling a brain tumour, and other children in similar circumstances.

Lemon Fresh founder and director Ian Colley says: "I met Dottie and her mum a month or so ago, as she comes in my shop and Dottie enthusiastically picks products she likes for her home with her mum.

"She is wonderful. Only then I found out her story from her mum. We have been working on doing something where we can raise money for her and this is a start."

Dottie recently made news when he was partt of a performance group that spectacularly won through to the semi-finals of Britian's Got Talent. See story on Nub News via this link.

Another fundraising event for the charity, a golf day at Orsett, will be taking place in June.
