A DRIVER has been arrested following a Late night collision in Basildon that has left a pedestrain with life-threatening injuries.

Police attended the incident in Rosecroft Close shortly before midnight on Friday (26 September) and reported that the pedestrian had been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The road was closed while a forensic investigation took place.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: "We appreciate the disruption caused some residents and thank them for their patience.
