A MAN has been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine following a swift investigation.
Patrolling officers stopped a vehicle on Friday evening (24 October) in Ashlyns in Basildon and during a search a number of small bags of suspected Class A drugs were seized.
The arrest forms part of Essex Police's ongoing work to tackle criminality linked to road use and to ensure everyone's safety.
Detective Sergeant Ami Evins said: "Every day our officers are out on patrol working to keep road users safe. Drugs cause real harm and misery in our neighbourhoods, and we remain committed to disrupting their supply wherever we find it.
"We're focused on ensuring our roads are safe for everyone and will continue to take robust action."
Naim Peqini, 43, of Green Lanes, Enfield, was remanded into custody and was due to appear at Stratford Magistrates' Court today (Monday, 27 October).
