DETAILS have been announced into a public inquiry that will be held into the future of land in Wickford where Basildon Council have taken enforcement action to stop the siting of two static mobile homes, a day room and a stable.

The site, of land east of Shrubs, Studland Avenue, would also have an area of hardstanding and be surrounded by two metre close-boarded fencing.

The owner Simon O'Driscoll has appealed against the council's decision and am enquiry will now be held by a Planning Inspector later this month. It will be a virtual event starting on 22 June at 10am.

The Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State, will hold the Inquiry online, which will be run in the normal way, but with parties invited to join via Microsoft Teams or by telephone.

The virtual Hearing is currently anticipated as sitting for one day and is open to members of the public.

For information on how to join, contact the council's planning technical support team on 01268 533333 as soon as possible prior to the event.

Following the Inquiry, the Inspector's decision will be published online here..
