BASILDON'S biggest career fair returned this week to support people with their future.

 The event saw record attendance, with more than 1,500 residents meeting employers, educational institutes and training providers, giving career inspiration, courses and training opportunities.

 Councillor Jessica Power, Basildon Council's Cabinet Member for Jobs, Skills and Local Economy said: "The Basildon Skills Show is about showing our young people that they have a bright future right here in the borough.

"Whether they are looking for a career in a specific sector or the right qualifications to help them succeed, we have businesses and education providers right here waiting to provide opportunities for them."
