Proclamation of Accession in Basildon

THE Proclamation of the Accession for King Charles III will be taking place tomorrow (Sunday, 11 September) in St Martin's Square, Basildon, after the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

 The service will feature the Reading of the Accession from The Mayor of Basildon, Cllr Luke MacKenzie, who will be joined by Deputy Lieutenant, Mr Simon Lister, alongside other local dignitaries for the event.

 The short service is open to the public and will be taking place at 2pm - fencing will be up around the perimeter of the event in St Martin's Square for residents who want to view the proceedings.
