POLICE are seeking help from the public as they look for a man who may be in Basildon.

A statement from Essex Police says: "Do you know where Matthew Long is? We want to speak to the 30-year-old in connection with an assault in Maldon earlier this summer.

"Long is described as being 5ft 8ins tall and of stocky build. He has a goatee and brown hair. He has links to Heybridge and Basildon. If you know where he is please tell us.
