Police seek information over Festival Leisure Park assault

POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Basildon that took place at around 3am on Saturday, 16 April outside Unit 7, Festival Leisure Park.

During a disturbance involving a group of people, the victim, a man, 20's, was punched to the face and sustained a broken jaw.

The suspect is described as a white man, well built with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark coloured coat with the hood down.

A police statement says: "We need anyone who saw anything or has any CCTV or dash cam footage to contact us. If you have any information, you can submit a report online at https://www.essex.police.uk where you can use the 'Live Chat' button to speak to an online operator between 7am and 11pm. Please quote crime report 42/96877/22.
