POLICE officers investigating a serious collision in Basildon last year are asking for the public's help

Around 11pm on Friday, 17 November last year, a man was crossing the road at the zebra crossing on Timberlog Lane, Basildon, when a car travelling along the road collided with him.

The man, 20s, reported that the impact threw him over the car and, as a result, he sustained a leg and arm injury.

The driver of the car, possibly a BMW, did not stop.

PC Humza Bokhari, investigating, said: "We have exhausted our enquiries but are hoping that someone may have witnessed the collision or knows who the driver is so that we can speak to them.

"If at all possible, we'd ask anyone who may have dash cam footage of that night to check to see if they have captured anything that could be useful to our investigation."

The collision occurred at Timberlog Lane (B1464) near the junction with Gordon Road, Barstable.
