Police continue to probe circumstances that led to bike rider's death in Wickford

THE police investigation into a fatal collision in Wickford is continuing today (Wednesday, 2 April).
Essex Police officers were called to the incident in Southend Road at 9pm on Tuesday (1 April), which involved a car and a motorbike.
Southend Road was closed between Hill Avenue and Hawkins Close while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Police have confirmed that the motorbike rider, a man aged in his 30s, has died. His family are aware and are being supported.
As part of this investigation, a man has been arrested on suspicion of causing of death by careless driving.
