Police call for information after woman was robbed in Basildon park

POLICE are investigating a robbery that took place in Northlands Park, Basildon, on Saturday, 13 March.

A woman – aged in her 20s – was walking through the park at around 1.30pm when she was approached from behind and pushed to the ground. A man then reached into her bag and took the loose money from within it.

The woman did not sustain any injuries.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6ft tall and aged around 28-years-old. He is described as having piercing green eyes and having green buzz-cut hair and wearing a navy-blue hoody and ripped black trousers.

Police are appealing to anyone in the area who may have seen the incident, or who could help identify the man, to contact them on 101 quoting crime reference 42/44248/21.
