Police ask for information following incident in which 88-year-old driver died

POLICE are appealing for any witnesses, doorbell or dashcam footage following a fatal collision in Wickford on Friday (3 October).
Officers were called to reports of the single-vehicle incident on Warren Drive at about 3.10pm.
A statement from Essex Police says: We attended alongside colleagues from the fire and ambulance service and one woman, the driver, received urgent medical attention. Sadly, the 88-year-old died at the scene.
"We have launched our investigation and want to hear from anyone with information or who witnessed the collision.
"In particular we are appealing for doorbell and dashcam footage around the time of the collision in Warren Drive.
