ESSEX Police has asked residents if they recognise two people as they appeal for witnesses and information following reports of a robbery in Pitsea on Sunday, 5 March.

It was reported that the victim was forced to hand over his phone, coat and money by two men at around 4.30pm as he walked along Moretons.

The victim, 20s, was unhurt.

A police statement says: "We'd like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have CCTV, dash cam or doorbell footage to contact us.

"If you have any information, you can submit a report online at https://www.essex.police.uk where you can use the 'Live Chat' button to speak to an online operator between 7am and 11pm. Please quote crime report 42/56568/22

"You can also call us on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
