Police appeal after pedestrian is seriously injured in collision with car as he crossed road

POLICE have appealed for the public's help following a collision in Basildon in which a man sustained serious injuries.

Officers were called to Timberlog Lane at around 6pm on Thursday 9 March following reports of a collision involving a black Corsa and a pedestrian.

It was reported that the pedestrian was crossing the road at a crossing at the junction with Gordon Road.

The pedestrian, 30s, remains in hospital in a critical condition.
