POLICE are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dash cam after a vehicle failed to stop in Wickford.

A silver Honda CRV failed to stop for officers in Swan Lane at 10am last Thursday (14 October).

The vehicle was then in collision with another vehicle before leaving the road and travelling on a dirt road. It was then in a further collision with a small dog being walked by their owner.

The dog was taken to a nearby veterinary practice for treatment.

A police statement says: "We need anyone who saw anything, has CCTV, dash cam or doorbell footage to contact us. If you have any information you can submit a report online at here where you can use the 'Live Chat' button to speak to an online operator between 7am and11pm. Please quote incident 317 of 14 October.

"You can also call us on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
