Updated: Police investigation means Wat Tyler Park and the recycling centre is closed

A POLICE incident has caused the closure of Pitsea Recycling Centre this morning (Sunday, 31 July).
And the whole of the adjacent Wat Tyler park has nopw been closed.
Essex County Council, which runs the site on Pitsea Hall Lane, says: "Pitsea Recycling Centre is closed today (Sunday 31 July), due to an ongoing police incident. Residents are encouraged to use Recycling Centres in Canvey or South Woodham Ferrers as alternatives."
