DESPITE a road closure, residents in Basildon will still be able to use a local recycling centre this weekend.

The closure will be in place along Pitsea Hall Lane across the weekend (Saturday, 9 and Sunday 10 October) due to work being carried out by Network Rail on the level crossing.

The council says the Recycling Centre will remain open throughout the weekend but are warning users to expect delays.

A diversion route will be in place and the closure will be enforced between 2am on the Saturday and 2am on Monday, October 11.
