MORE than 30 robotic companion cats and dogs have made their way to patients with dementia as part of Dementia Action Week which ended yesterday (Sunday, 21 May)

The paw-some interactive pets provide comfort and help relieve anxiety in those patients who may have had or do have furry friends that they miss.

The interactive pets were funded by Mid and South Essex Hospitals Charity.

Dementia Action Week provided an opportunity to raise awareness of dementia and the support available to those living with and affected by it.

This is just one of the many initiatives by Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust to help improve the lives of those patients with dementia.
