'Not guilty' plea from man accused of Madison's murder

A MAN has pleaded not guilty to murder, following the death of a woman in Basildon earlier this year.

The body of Madison Wright was discovered on Saturday, 30 July at Wat Tyler Country Park following a large investigation into her disappearance.

Garry Bennett, 37 of Caister Drive, Pitsea was charged with murder in connection with her death.

He appeared in court where he entered a not guilty plea.

A trial date has been set for Monday, 13 March at Basildon Crown Court.
