More arrests as murder probe continues

POLICE investigating the murder of Terry Leeks in Basildon have made further arrests.

Forty-six year-old Mr Leeks died after being assaulted in Northlands Park at around 1.30am on 11 July.

A 14 year-old girl from Wickford was arrested this morning (Thursday, 30 September) on suspicion of murder. And a 15 year-old boy has been re-arrested on suspicion of murder. They are both in custody.

It takes the total number of people arrested on suspicion of murder to eight.

Police continue to appeal for anyone who has any information about Terry's death to contact them or Crimestoppers. If you have any information you can report it to police by calling 101 quoting the crime reference number 42/136379/21.
