Man charged with Co-op robbery

A MAN has charged with a robbery at a shop in Wickford.

Money was stolen from the Co-op in Nevendon Road on Tuesday 27 April.

Billy Sharp, 37, of Newlands Road, Wickford, was charged with robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.

He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Saturday 1 May and is next due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on 28 May.
