Man charged with 2018 Basildon murder

A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of Dwayne Forrester in Basildon.

Twenty-one year-old Dwayne was found injured in Little Garth, Pitsea on 7 July 2018 and later died.

Since then, detectives have carried out an extensive investigation including taking 400 statements, seizing 820 exhibits, and viewing more than 180 hours of CCTV footage.

Today (Friday 7 January) 24 year-old Hayden Line, of Esmond Close, Rainham, appeared at Southend Magistrates' Court where he was charged with murder.

He has been remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on Tuesday, 11 January.
