A LARGE and wide-ranging group of local good causes have befitted from the latest charity golf day organised by funeral directors West and Co.

The event, held at Langdon Hills Golf and Country Club earlier this year raised £36,000.

Representatives from West and Co's branches returned to the Lower Dunton Road venue recently for an afternoon tea at which the proceeds were distributed.

A statement from the company said: "Our hearts were completely full as we hosted a wonderful afternoon tea at Langdon Hills to celebrate some truly incredible local charities.

"The afternoon was dedicated to recognising these wonderful charities.

"We are completely humbled by the hard work, selflessness, and kindness of the people who dedicate themselves to helping others.

"It was an absolute privilege to listen to each charity speak with such passion about the work they do to support our local community.

"This wonderful total was only made possible thanks to the incredible support of everyone involved in our Golf Day. We are so proud to share the total raised among these fantastic charities:
