By Nub News Reporter   7th Dec 2025

DETECTIVES are investigating an incident in Basildon which led to four people being assaulted.

Officers were called to a disturbance involving a large group in Whitmore Way at around 9.55pm on Saturday, 6 December.

It was found four men had suffered injuries, with three taken on to hospital.

None of the injuries suffered were life-threatening and all have since been discharged.

Detective Sergeant Sandy Kelleher said: "Officers swiftly attended and conducted enquiries through the evening – this work is continuing this morning.

"At this stage we are treating this as an isolated incident stemming from a fight between people likely known to each other, with no continuing or wider threat to the public.

"However an incident of this nature rightly causes concern, and we're working hard to build a picture of what took place.

"We'll also be in the area throughout the day providing reassurance and carrying out enquiries.

"We would like any witnesses, or anyone with information or footage which could assist us, to come forward.

"Please cite incident 1332 of 6 December.
